Kundalini yoga is the mother of all yogas – a “Raj Yoga” – for centuries accessible only to a privileged few, until Yogi Bhajan brought it to the West in the 1960s.

Kundalini is a dynamic form of yoga. There’s often a lot of movement in the postures, all with a specific focus on balancing hormone flow, strengthening the nervous system, and accessing a state of altered consciousness to allow and stimulate transformation. The Kundalini itself is a “curl” of energy held in the base of the spine, and working with this energy raises consciousness – strengthening the physical body to allow it to hold itself as it opens.

Set sail on your own Kundalini yoga journey, with Inner Calm

By embarking on your own Kundalini yoga journey, you will learn tools that can help you relax, improve your physical and emotional health, break unwanted patterns and habits, and possibly undercover your hidden creative talents. In her classes, Sita Ravi will use gentle movement and powerful breathing exercises. You will learn mantras and a number of meditations that will help you to find the Sacred Space within. Our classes offer a perfect opportunity to get you started with this intensely transformative form of yoga.

Each class is different, and we will explore in theory and practice various Pranayama, Asanas, Mudras, and Mantras. Beginners and experienced students of all abilities are welcome. At the end of each session you will be guided into deep relaxation to heal, rejuvenate, and deeply relax to the soothing sounds of the Gong.
